Dreamworks were looking for a creative way to promote their 2019 animated feature film How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World by using Game of Thrones star Kit Harington, who voiced one of the characters in the film. They conceived of the idea of imagining what might have happened in 2010 if Toothless the Dragon had auditioned for GoT. Working closely with Dreamworks' President of Marketing Jim Gallagher, Chris directed this online skit, as well as writing many of the gags. The video was an instant hit, going viral and garnering 10 million+ views in its first two days alone. The piece helped to promote the film, which became the largest grossing of the series and the biggest commercial hit of 2019, with a worldwide gross of over $500 million.
