Dreamworks were eager to find unusual ways to promote their upcoming animated 2019 movie How to Train Your Dragon and conceived of the idea of creating some original content in which the beloved character appeared in the real world, crashing the 2019 New Year's celebrations in New York.  This piece helped to promote the film, which became the largest grossing of the series and the biggest commercial hit of 2019 so far, with a worldwide gross of over $500 million.

The spot won a Clio award for 'Best Theatrical Spot' in 2019.
